What's the Suvorexant?

1.Suvorexant is a central nervous system (CNS) depressant and can impair daytime wakefulness even when used as prescribed. So Suvorexant is also known as a sleeping drug.

2.Prescribers should monitor for somnolence and CNS depressant effects, but impairment can occur in the absence of symptoms, and may not be reliably detected by ordinary clinical exam.

3.CNS depressant effects may persist in some patients for up to several days after discontinuing Suvorexant.

Application of Suvorexant

[1] Suvorexant, sold under the trade name Belsomra, is a medication for the treatment of insomnia.

[2] It is effective for insomnia, at least for four weeks and as compared to a placebo.


Suvorexant Usage and Dosage:

Suvorexant doses are prescribed according to age.

1. 20mg for adults and 15mg for seniors. The effect may increase when there is a concomitant drug interaction, starting from 10mg.

2. Suvorexant can expect its fast-acting effect, generally taking 30 minutes, the natural sleepiness will increase. After dawn, the physiological orexin will rise, and the effect of Suvoresen will be weakened and awakened.
